Our horticulture program provides:

  • Scientific evaluations of annual & perennial flowers, strawberries, hardy shrub roses, trees & shrubs
  • Demonstrates landscape design and plant materials for homeowners and gardeners
  • Evaluation of plant materials used for windbreaks and shelterbelts
  • Horticultural education for children
  • Cooperative research with the U of M Department of Horticultural Science and USDA
