Flowers take center stage

August 13, 2015

The West Central Research and Outreach Center held its annual Horticulture Night on Thursday, June 30. The evening included several programs for adults, including “Gardening with Succulents,” “Tree Health in a Changing Climate,”  and “Cold Fruits for Cold Climates.” Along with short programs, there were also tours available: The Annual Flower Tour by WCROC Horticulture Scientist Steve Poppe, a Low Tunnel Strawberry Tour, and a WCROC Farm Tour. Children enjoyed learning as well with displays about bees and seeds. Some even participated in a scavenger hunt in the Children’s Garden.
