Renewable Energy Sparks Discussion
The University of Minnesota's West Central Research and Outreach Center at Morris is walking the talk when it comes to efficiency and renewable energy. That's why it was an ideal location for the Midwest Farm Energy Conference from June 17-19.
June 18, conference attendees got to hear talks on farm energy incentives in the morning and tour the center's renewable energy efforts in the afternoon.
In areas of economic growth, efficiency and renewable energy efforts can actually decrease the need for adding or expanding traditional energy generation plants, said Ryan Rooney, of Runestone Electric Cooperative. Read more of the AgriNews article.
